Welcome to TIFA

Hello everyone. Are you ready to enjoy four days  with Football and a lot of fun?! We are grateful for your participation in the 13th Disabladed soccer tournament sponsored by APEXA. Here, in this document, you can find recommendations and all the information necessary for your stay in our ALGARVE. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, we are here to help you.

The Disabladed Football International Tournament – TIFA is currently one of the most important Disability Football Tournaments in Portugal. Since the first edition, 56 Teams have already been in our tournament representing their countries. Every year about 300 players participate in multiple matches for a full day of competition, fantastic experiences and extraordinary opportunities to compete with teams from other cultures. The proximity to the sea area allows everyone to enjoy the beautiful beaches all along the coast. The amazing weather at this time of the year makes TIFA much more than a football tournament… through football creates the possibility to meetings both outside and on the field with participants from multiple countries, being currently the most international disability football tournament in our Country. Also is the only competition for disabled people that is held in a grass field outdoor stadium.

How to get to Algarve

Due to its peripheral location, the Algarve enjoys good transport connections, both internally with the other Portuguese cities and externally with the rest of the world. Various national airlines have regular flights to the Algarve, making Faro a busy international airport.

The Algarve also benefits from a good road network, composed of motorways, trunk roads and a range of secondary roads, making the journey comfortable and efficient whether you’re travelling by bus or driving in a rented car.

Information about Electronic Toll here.

Rail transport is another alternative for visitors to the region. The Portuguese rail service (CP – Comboios de Portugal) has a vast network of trains to places all over the country.
